P4/5 Masked Readers on World Book Day!
We loved learning more about the Ancient Egyptians at the Ulster Museum! We saw a real mummy that was over 2500 years old, held some artefacts and learned about the jobs that the Ancient Egyptians had.
We had so much fun on our Ancient Egyptian Day! We dressed up and walked like an Egyptian into Assembly. We had an Ancient Egyptian Feast and ate pomegranate, melon, grapes, cucumber, eggs, flatbread, hummus, falafel, figs, dates and sunflower seeds. We baked our own Egyptian Flatbread and mummified tomato. We did lots of activities and played games. It was great fun playing the Mummy Toilet Roll game, and we wrapped up our day with a Mummy Rap!
