Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits Pantomime

Our pantomime, entitled ‘Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits’ was a great success and involved all of the children in Key Stage 2. What a talented bunch they turned out to be!

The ancient city of Old Baghdad is in chaos and the bustling bazaar is overrun with robbers! The Sultan’s precious Princess, played by Rose Cousins, and the Royal Ruby have vanished!  To make matters worse, the poor Sultan, played by Harry Wilson, cannot trust his Vizier, played by Faith Jordan, nor his mischievous monkey (Elijah Doyle). Not to worry though, as Ali Baba (Edmund Hilary), the Genie (Isaac Giffin) and Humphrey the Camel (William Waugh and Elliott Copeland) save the day, although not before they encounter the hilarious and confused duo Dusty and Sandy (Lily McKinney and Sienna Kelly) and  Wicked Balthazar (Mea Frizell) and her troublesome tribe of Bongo Bandits!

This was an amazing experience for all the children and every performance was filled with laughter and comedic chaos. The acting, singing, dancing, lighting, scenery, props, costumes, make-up and sound were so professional that some of the audience commented that it should be put on in the Grand Opera House. Can’t wait for the next one!
