Great job Ellie and Matthew- January's handwriting competition winners!
We are thoroughly enjoying our new topic in P2- Space. We've been creating models of spaceships and rockets, making aliens from dough, and working as astronauts at the Space Station. We watched a video of a little boy who went star gazing with his family and we re-created our own star constellations. We made moving astronauts using split-pins and went for a moon-walk in our sand tray.
P2 have really been enjoying using our new school library. We get to browse and pick from lots of different fiction and non-fiction books and then we bring them back on Thursday to pick a brand new one again
A big congratulations to James who won the handwriting competition for December.
Evie did a fantastic job winning first place in November's handwriting competition.
Faith and her mummy brought a very special visitor for us to meet... Peter the tortoise. Faith told us lots of interesting information about him and she answered loads of our curious questions. Thank you both for bringing him to P2 :)
Well done to Phoebe who won October's Handwriting Competition!
P2 have been enjoying Structured Play in Term 1. We have been investigating floating and sinking, melting and freezing using our polar bears in the Arctic. We made caves for bears to live in and designed teddies using dough materials. We created 3-d bear models and enjoyed acting out scenes from Goldilocks and the 3 Bears in our house corner.
Well done to Finley who won 1st prize in September's handwriting competition :)
Mrs McArdle's brilliant bunch of P2's!
